Happy New Year from Roadless Races! As we begin the final countdown and look forward to a new year filled with possibility, hope, and adventure, I would like to reflect and take stock of the good times had at our events in 2024, and thank those that helped make it all possible. In 2024, we produced 12 events – 2 virtual challenges, 7 trail runs, and 3 mountain bike races. All were special in their own unique way, but the core outcome of each was the same – challenge, personal accomplishment, community connection, and fun – GOOD TIMES! When we accept a challenge and dig deep to complete it, personal accomplishment results. And there was a lot of that in 2024. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL RACERS for striving, improving, and achieving! It feels good to accomplish hard things, and when you’re surrounded by others that are headed towards a similar goal, it feels even better. We don’t personally know all our fellow racers, but the connection, energy, and common bond is there – and it is powerful and good. And finally, while it may not feel particularly fun when you are in the midst of the ‘pain cave’, FUN was all around us this year – when you toed the line filled with giddy excitement (and some anxiety as to how your race will unfold), or when someone cracked that joke as you climbed the ridiculously steep hill, or that euphoric feeling when you crossed the finish line, or when you watched the push up contest after the race, as you smiled from ear to ear – FUN reared is beautiful head at our races on many, many occasion. So, as we take stock of all these things from this year, 2024 was, without a doubt, a slam dunk success! Producing our events is a team effort and they simply would not be possible without support from so many. I would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all those that had a hand in making it all happen. • Racers – THANK YOU for signing up, showing up, and giving it your all. • Volunteers – THANK YOU for donating your time and energy to make the events come alive. • Sponsors – THANK YOU for generously contributing product, services, and funds to support the Roadless Races Community and so we can keep registration fees as low as possible. • Vendors – THANK YOU for professionally providing product and service to help us produce quality events. • Charity Partners – THANK YOU for doing important work to make a positive impact in our communities. • Police and Fire Departments – THANK YOU for lending your expertise to keep the Roadless Races Community safe and secure. • Land Managers – THANK YOU for supporting grassroots trail races and for sharing the property under your watch with the Roadless Races Community so we can all enjoy. • RR Staff, Family, and Friends – THANK YOU for your hard work, dedication, talent, and support to produce high quality events and make a positive impact in all who participate. Roadless Races continues to grow and in 2025 we have a full lineup of exciting events, including 8 trail running races (including the NEW Cane Creek Mtn Trail Run), 3 mountain bike races, and the 6th Annual Zen Squirrel Running Challenge during the entire month of February. All will be filled with challenge, personal accomplishment, community connection, and FUN, and we invite you to join us for more GOOD TIMES in the New Year! Happy New Year and see you on the trails.
