Hello Sprocket Fuelers,
I hope you are having fun ticking off the miles and pushing yourself to ride more during the Sprocket Fuel MTB Challenge. At the end of the day today (Tuesday, Aug 4th), we’re 21 days into the challenge with 11 more to go. If you are following those pesky daily averages goals of 3.125 miles/day for the 100 milers or 6.25 miles/day for the 200 milers, this would put you at 65.63 miles or 131.25 miles respectively. Several riders have already reached their mileage goal but most are still plugging away. Congrats to everyone for taking on the challenge!
Swag – the tees have arrived and they are NICE (soft, comfy, and stylish)!!!! All swag is now in stock and will go out in the mail over the next few days. I think it is safe to say that you should receive you super-sweet swag pack (with tee, head wrap/face covering/neck gaiter, magnet, and any extra items you purchased or won as a giveaway) by the middle of next week at the latest.
Giveaways – we put all riders names in a bin and selected Marty Glinsky from Sedona, AZ and Mike Antonio from Kilmarnock, VA. Each have won a nifty Roadless Races trucker hat. Marty and Mike, we’ll add your hat to your swag pack. Enjoy. We’ll do more random pick-from-the-bin type giveaways during the virtual awards video that will be posted on our FB page on Aug 16th.
Charity Groups – big thank you to those that donated $ during registration to support IMBA and NICA, two organizations doing great things for mountain biking and for our communities. We have raised a total of $270 so far and there is still time to contribute if you like. Thanks again!
Wow – huge congrats to 100-mile challenge rider Nate Haislip who’s already logged 64.14 miles. Nate is four years old (yes, as in ‘4’). Amazing and keep it up, buddy!
OK, everyone. That’s all for now. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at the contact info below.
Have fun and keep on truckin’.
